Dr. Springer graduated from the WVU School of Dentistry in 2017. She earned her bachelors degree from Marshall University. Originally from Chapmanville, she and her husband Travis now live in Hurricane with their two labradors Chief and Faye.
Dr. Springer is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and the West Virginia Dental Association. She currently serves as the secretary and treasurer for the Kanawaha Valley Dental Society and is proud to be on the planning committee for the ADA's annual Give Kids A Smile Day.
When she isn't in the office, she enjoys traveling and doing anything outdoors with her husband and their pups.
Dr. Kaczkowski graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1976 and started his general dentistry practice in Cross Lanes in 1984. He is a long-standing member of the West Virginia Dental Association and Kanawha Valley Dental Society of which he has served as president of both organizations and on the Council of Dental Practice for the American Dental Association. He is an active member of the WV Board of Dentistry and has served two different terms as president. He enjoys traveling to partake in student board exams across the country as an examiner and mentor to the students.
Those who know "Dr. Kacz" know his true love is fishing. He takes multiple trips to exotic places throughout the year to chase the catch!
Office Manager
Shirley’s dental career began in the early 90’s and she’s been working with Dr. Kaczkowski since 1996! She is a mastermind when it comes to dental insurance and is the backbone of what keeps our office running. She and her husband, Roger, have been married 45 years this year! They are members of the First Baptist Church of Eleanor where Shirley sings in the choir.
While Shirley doesn’t have a pet at this time, her favorite pet she ever had was a mixed border collie named Nick. She enjoys doing crafts in her spare time, in particular creating diamond art. Her favorite foods are tacos and pizza. Shirley is named after her maternal grandmother and shares her mother’s middle name (Jean).
FUN FACT: Her birthdate is wrong on her birth certificate!
Dental Hygienist
Amy has worked as a dental hygienist for 6 years, starting with our practice part time and coming on full-time in 2021. She loves to get to know her patients and strives to make their visit painless and comfortable. She enjoys going out to dinner and hanging out with her friends and family. Her favorite past-time is taking naps. Amy takes pride in raising her 15 year old daughter, Mikki, and two cats. Her favorite food is Mexican and she always gets fried ice cream for dessert!
FUN FACT: Amy is a “pool shark” and used to play in pool tournaments.
Dental Hygienist
Jennifer has been with our practice for over 20 years. She is loved by patients and our team alike! She is truly passionate about her patient's care and prioritizes educating her patients about their dental health.
She enjoys traveling with her husband, Rodney, and spending time with her four children: Miranda, Cameron, Dylan and Morgan. Jennifer has a heart for animals and has her own pack of fur-babies as well!
FUN FACT: Jennifer's daughter Miranda is a dentist and her son Cameron is going to dental school to be a dentist!
Dental Hygienist
Tina began working in dentistry as a dental assistant at the age of 19. She has filled many roles in the dental field from administrative to clinical hygienist over her 30 year dental career. She is married to Tony Keller and has two daughters- Sydney is a school teacher and Kelsey is a registered nurse.
Tina enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and in her vegetable garden. Above all else, Tina LOVES bass fishing! She participates in competitive tournament fishing frequently, which is where she met her husband!
In her spare time and around the holidays, you will find her volunteering at local women’s shelters to help prepare and serve meals for various local organizations.
FUN FACT: She was born and raised right here in Cross Lanes!
Dental Assistant
Amy started working with Dr. Kaczkowski when she was only 19 years old and has been with our practice for 26 years! She enjoys getting to know the patients and chatting with them during their appointments. She and her husband, Paul, have a small farm consisting of 3 dogs: Rooster, Rowdy and Roscoe, a cat named Milton, 2 horses Rosie and Belle and one cow Janie. They enjoy vacationing to the beach with their pups and working on their farm together. Amy's favorite meals are her husband's pancakes, pizza and anything chocolate.
FUN FACT: Amy and Paul lived in their barn for an entire summer while they were building their home!
Dental Assistant
Heather graduated from the dental assisting program at Carver Career Center in 2014 and has been with our practice for 12 years.
She loves to go on road trips. If she isn’t riding coasters at an amusement park then you can find her in Amish Country or on the beach collecting shark teeth. She loves to shop and is the fashionista of our office. If you ask her what type of food she’s craving 99% of the time she will say “Mexican”, but usually will settle for chicken nuggets and a slurpee.
FUN FACT: She can identify a song just by hearing the first note and she can do a mean turkey call!
Receptionist
Casey's career in dentistry began in the early 80’s as a dental assistant. She has worked with Dr. Kaczkowski since 1987! She is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet and has the biggest heart, especially when it comes to animals. She is a member of the ASPCA and The National Audubon Society which is an American non-profit dedicated to conservation of birds and their habitats.
Casey enjoys caring for her five cats, her border collie and a collection of house plants and flowers. Casey’s green thumb is what keeps our office plants alive. She has one stepdaughter and three grandchildren who she and her husband, Mark, enjoy spending time with on the weekends. She also enjoys reading and collecting fiesta ware. Her favorite foods are Mexican and Italian dishes.
FUN FACT: Casey keeps dog treats behind her desk in case she sees a dog walk by the office during the day.
Receptionist
With a background in the medical office setting, Elizabeth began her career in dentistry when she started working with our office in 2022. She is certified in office administration, medical billing and coding and medial assisting. She started working at our practice to try something new, and she loves it!
She has been happily married to her husband, Cody, since October 2021. Together, they have three beautiful children: Asher, Adeline and Ava. Their family wouldn’t be complete without their dog, Elsa and cat, Lola. Cody also requested that we recognize their pet hermit crabs, Sally and Jack.
When Elizabeth is not in the office working hard for our patients, she enjoys playing with her children, painting, cooking and working on her car with her husband. Her favorite foods are french fries and Mexican.
Elizabeth is involved with the National Healthcare Organization (NHA) and Awana with her children at Cross Lanes Baptist Church. She is the “Chaos Coordinator” to her crazy crew!
FUN FACT: She and her husband own and operate a trucking company!
